Warm San Franciscan Night

This picture was taken the first night that our former editor at Taylor, David Ritchie, and I were in San Francisco to interview Tim Naylor, a Taylor grad and member of film giant George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic studio. We had gone to the Coit Tower to see the fog roll in as the sun set over the bay. Although we couldn't see the Golden Gate Bridge, we did see God's brilliant handiwork as the sun lit up the fog and provided a great backdrop for the other sightseers.

Stephen L. Johnson and George W. Bush

This opportunity to photograph a US president has by far been one of my most exciting moments. Stephen L. Johnson is a 1973 alumnus of Taylor University; my son Peter and I got to go to Washington to photograph his Oath of Office Ceremony at the Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Johnson, a member of our Parents Cabinet at Taylor, is the new Administrator for the EPA - it is a cabinet level position. He accepted the honors that came his way that day with a humble spirit and a gracious manner. It was an unforgettable experience for us.

The Washington Monument

Just six months after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, it was an emotional moment to stand at the base of this American icon.
