Another shot of the Rice Bell Tower at Taylor University. I got this one with my BlackBerry and did some post production in Picasa. While the camera has its limits, there are some pretty cool things you can do with it.

I got this photo last week during Community Plunge at Taylor University. It's the day between 500-700 students, faculty and staff members go into the Upland, Ind., community to perform service projects that range from trash pickup and weed pulling to painting and washing fire trucks. It's always a great time!

The Craig & Friends hair salon was an institution near our Taylor campus for many years until they moved to a new location in Upland. The building was demolished last week.

Morris Island Lighthouse, Charleston, SC

We got this shot of the Morris Island Lighthouse near Charleston while we were there. It was about a half-mile walk from where we parked to where we were able to see the lighthouse. Very warm. Lots of sand. Great memories!

Charleston, SC

I got this shot with my D70 last summer during a visit to the beach in Charleston, SC. It was one of the few times last summer that I was really hot. I hope next summer is warmer!

I got this photo a few weeks ago during a photo shoot with the Cardinal Swimming Club. The lighting in the pool was outstanding and let me get some great action shots!

Man's Best Friend

This is Taylor, my brother-in-law's dog. She and I are great friends ... even if I am allergic to dog fur. Bummer.

I Love Lucy

This is a shot of our cat, Lucy. When we got her, we also had a lizard named Caspian... we were going with the C.S. Lewis names for our animals!

We'll Always Have Paris

This shot is in honor of our daughter and her special friend, the ill-fated BSU buck, who was dispatched to its eternal reward by campus officials a few weeks ago. She was running one afternoon near the campus woods when she heard footsteps. A bit frightened, she looked over and saw "Bucky" (as she calls him) running alongside her - albeit inside the fence. She said she would always remember those special moments.

Taylor University women's basketball

I had a great time yesterday photographing the Taylor-Brescia women's basketball game. TU won 81-69. Coach Krause is just two wins away from her 400th win. We had a pretty nice crowd turnout too!

Bell Tower and Clouds

This shot of our bell tower was done on an unusually warm November day. A storm was moving in and we were just at the edge of the cold front. It created a striking image.

Jack's Camera Shop, Muncie, Indiana

I got this shot with my cell phone at one of my favorite places - Jack's Camera Shop! It's pretty amazing how much these phones can accomplish. In some cases, the shots are as good if not better than the stuff I used to get with my D1.

Hoosier Sunset

I usually see a sunset like this when it's not possible to stop my car to get a photo. On this night, I was able to get stopped and get a few shots of one of the spectacular sunsets we enjoyed this fall.
